Joe Ward is an experienced real estate professional with 25 years of local service in the industry. Joe originally began his career with Hemenway, Realtors in 1985, and eventually left to become Broker/Owner of Gateway, Realtors for a number of years. As Principal Broker for Joe Ward Properties in Eugene, he now does what he loves best...listing and selling real estate.
Prior to his real estate career, Joe worked in a redwood sawmill, at the Air Mail Facility at San Francisco International Airport, as a tree planter and as an apprentice and journeyman carpenter in both residential and commercial construction. He was licensed as a General Contractor for a number of years and is a certified auctioneer. Joe is keyboardist/singer/songwriter for his own small band, The Mad Men, and is working on a book about his real estate experiences. He has previously written a real estate column and contributed op-ed pieces on real estate to various publications.
Joe is considered to be a consummate counselor, negotiator and facilitator, and makes the complete satisfaction of his clients the number one priority. He has extensive knowledge in the sale of residential, rural, ranch and timber, investment and commercial property. Having himself had ownership in each of the above categories of real estate in Oregon, Joe is well aware of the promises and pitfalls of investment property and can provide valuable guidance to each buyer, seller and investor.
Joe's research for buyers often finds him better informed about the property than the listing agent, and this same tenacity allows him to provide detailed brochures (with maps, aerials, photos and charts) for his sellers when marketing their properties.
As an acknowledged expert in Oregon's pioneering Land Use Planning, Joe has guided many buyers, sellers and investors through the complicated maze involved in this process.
Joe is available seven days per week to assist his clients in the sale and purchase of Oregon real estate.
